Since 2013, Leggera Pizza Napoletana has been making the case that São Paulo belongs in the global conversation about great pizza. In 2025, that case became undeniable: the pizzeria was ranked #3 in the world by the 50 TOP Pizza guide, claimed Best Pizzaria in Latin America for the second consecutive year, and earned the Tre Spicchi distinction from Gambero Rosso for the fifth time — the Italian guide's highest recognition for pizza excellence outside Italy.

Authenticity as a Method, Not a Marketing Claim

Every pizza at Leggera is individual, hand-stretched, and fired in a wood-burning oven at 450°C. The dough is made with a blend of Italian flours, undergoes natural fermentation, and contains no artificial colorants, additives, or preservatives. Tomato sauce is built on San Marzano dell'Agro Sarnese-Nocerino DOP, one of the most protected designations in Italian food culture. The technique itself follows the Neapolitan tradition recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage — and the pizzeria holds certification from the AVPN (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana), the body that sets and enforces those standards worldwide.

The result is the light, slightly charred, pliable crust that defines true Neapolitan pizza — a style that São Paulo's dining scene has come to associate directly with Leggera.

Two Locations, the Same Commitment

Leggera operates two addresses in São Paulo — the original on Rua Diana in Perdizes and a second in Jardins — each seating around 55 guests. The format is deliberately intimate: no reservations are taken for regular service, groups larger than eight require prior event scheduling, and the kitchen works without shortcuts. The Gambero Rosso Tre Spicchi award, held five times over, reflects a consistency that goes well beyond a single strong season.
