The name carries meaning. Harry's was founded in remembrance of Harry Cox, a figure whose contributions to Bermudian culture and whose love of good food and drink, shared with friends, became the guiding philosophy of everything here. That spirit is kept alive at Harry's Bar through a house rum blend made to Harry Cox's own original specifications — a quiet, tangible link to old Bermuda that sits alongside an otherwise thoroughly contemporary American steakhouse experience.

The Kitchen and the Cellar

Head Chef Colin Gray brings a career that spans Glasgow's Colonial restaurant, the Glasgow Holiday Inn, and three years aboard Cunard's QE2 — a ship that, fittingly, brought him to Bermuda in the first place. After years at the now-closed Fisherman's Reef and a stint at Miles Market, Gray joined Harry's as Sous Chef from its opening in the summer of 2008 and has led the kitchen ever since. Alongside him, Chef de Partie Bobby Baladad has been part of the team since that same opening, having built his career across restaurants in the Philippines and Dubai.

The wine program is what drew Wine Spectator's attention: Harry's holds the publication's Best of Award of Excellence, a recognition that reflects both the depth of the cellar and the care with which the list is curated. For a restaurant rooted in the American steakhouse tradition, a wine program of this caliber is the natural complement to the kitchen's ambitions.

Beyond the main dining room, Harry's offers a waterside patio, a dedicated private dining room, and semi-private areas — spaces that have earned the restaurant multiple Best of Bermuda Awards over the years, including recognition for best private dining room and best place for a private party.
