The story
La Pizza è Bella Gourmet brings 100% traditional Neapolitan pizza to Brussels's Etterbeek neighbourhood, with a commitment that goes well beyond a good dough. Every ingredient is sourced fresh from local producers in Campania, and everything on the menu is made in-house — the kind of discipline that tends to show in the finished product.
The project was founded by Stefano, with director Marco overseeing operations and first pizzaiolos Ciro and Salvatore working the ovens. It is a compact, focused team, and that focus is reflected in the recognition the pizzeria has earned: a 2-slice rating from Gambero Rosso, Italy's most authoritative food guide, and placements among the top rankings in Europe — including 5th and 12th spots in the Top 50 Pizza, whose inaugural World Pizza Summit in Madrid the team attended in 2022.
The sourcing philosophy is straightforward: reproduce the flavours of Naples as faithfully as possible, using produce that comes directly from the region that invented the dish. All fresh ingredients arrive from Campania suppliers, and nothing is outsourced to shortcuts. This is traditional Neapolitan pizza in the strictest sense — not an interpretation of it.
La Pizza è Bella takes its responsibilities seriously off the menu too. The team has introduced reusable food containers — a first in Belgium — and has partnered with Oceana, the international ocean conservation organisation, as part of a broader commitment to environmental sustainability. Energy efficiency, food waste reduction, and responsible packaging are built into how the business operates, not treated as an afterthought.
The Brussels location offers table service, takeaway, delivery, and catering for private parties, making it one of the more versatile addresses in the city for genuinely accomplished Neapolitan pizza.
