The story
Chef and owner Gaspar Fernandes was born in Goa, India, where his Portuguese grandparents taught him that the best cooking starts with the purest ingredients and that a little extra care can turn a dish into something memorable. After training at Le Cordon Bleu in London, he brought that philosophy to Vilnius, creating a restaurant that feels both personal and polished.
Gaspar's describes itself as "a beautiful home" – a space where the team cares for guests as they would their own. The result is a warm, unhurried atmosphere that complements the food rather than competing with it.
The à la carte menu is built around seafood, meat, and vegetarian options, all anchored in Indian cuisine. Chef Fernandes draws on his heritage to create dishes that balance spice, freshness, and depth. A six-course freestyle tasting menu is available by prior booking, offering a longer, more improvisational experience that changes with the seasons and the chef's inspiration.
The wine list is curated to match the bold flavours on the plate, with a wide selection of fine wines from around the world.
Gaspar's has earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand, an award that recognises good quality cooking at a reasonable price. It has also been named one of the best restaurants in Lithuania by Falstaff and 30bestrestaurants.lt. In Vilnius, it stands out for its thoughtful Indian cuisine and the personal vision of its chef-owner.
