The story
Ming Court occupies the sixth floor of Cordis, Hong Kong on Shanghai Street in Mong Kok, and has earned a reputation as one of the city's most considered destinations for Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant holds a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence — a recognition that speaks directly to one of its most distinctive features: a wine program of genuine depth.
Executive Chef Li Yuet Faat brings more than 20 years of culinary experience to the pass. His approach is straightforward and uncompromising — source the finest ingredients, and let authentic Cantonese technique do the rest. His team works across lunch and dinner services, crafting classic Cantonese specialities from a menu designed around freshness and quality.
The Ming Cellar is a serious proposition: over 300 wine labels drawn from more than 100 regions worldwide. Guests can also join intimate daily wine tasting sessions — an unusual and welcome touch that makes the pairing culture here feel participatory rather than performative. It is this combination of rigorous Cantonese cooking and thoughtful wine selection that earned Ming Court its Wine Spectator recognition.
Beyond the main dining room, Ming Court offers a Lalique-themed private space — the Iconic 'Rose Nebula' room — created in collaboration with the French crystal house Lalique, complete with its own dedicated menu. A range of additional private dining rooms is available for celebrations, business lunches, and banquets, each well-equipped and suited to different group sizes.
Dim sum and set lunches run through the week, with the kitchen also offering a dégustation menu and a dedicated tasting menu. Takeaway and private room options round out a format that serves both everyday diners and special occasions with equal care.
